Alpine - 2013 Skimeister at WF

Please come out and test your skills at Whiteface next weekend at the 2013 Skimeister race. What better gauge exists than one run of each GS, Paneled SL and SkierCross to see if you have what it takes to make it big?!?!?

Expanded Age Groups!!! U10, U12, U14, U16, U18-21, and ”U70s” (or anyone of any age who wants to come test their racing skills).

·        COMBINED TIME OF 3 RUNS – GS, Paneled SL & SkierCross
·        Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for M & F in each age group
·        Top U14 (or younger) M/F names placed on the Skimeister Skis in the NYSEF Building

Pay by cash, check or credit card in advance or at bib pick up 7:30-8:15am

Lifts Open:               8:15am (Use Bear Chair & Freeway)

Giant Slalom            Twin Towers Start on Drapers Drop
Inspection:              8:30am-9:00am
RACE RUN:              9:15am

Paneled SL               TomCat Road Start on Drapers Drop
Inspection:              10:15am-10:45am
RACE RUN:              11:00am

Lunch Break

SkierCross               Wolf Trail (SkierCross Course)
Inspect/Practice:    1:00-1:30pm Wolf
RACE RUN:              1:30pm Wolf

Awards:                   3:00pm NYSEF Training Center

Rules for the Day:
-NO USSA License REQUIRED
-Each racer is only allowed to use one pair of skis for all three events…. Choose wisely.
-Speed Suits are strongly discouraged. Costumes, however are strongly encouraged (additional awards to be given for best costumes and themes)!
-All athletes must have a signed NYSEF Liability Waiver on file at the NYSEF Training Center.
-Do NOT ski fast on public ski trails. You will have your ticket pulled by ski patrol and you will be forced to hike to the start.
-All racers & spectators MUST use ski racks at NYSEF Building, Finish Area, and Main Lodge. Do not leave your skis on the ground or they may be tossed in the woods.
